Lingu@com e-learning modules - Lingu@Com Install

Please follow these guidelines carefully in order to install and register your LinguaCom module and the corresponding Text-To-Speech (TTS) languages.

Step 1:

• Download the CommArt basis and registration software to your PC using following link: http://www.commart.be/software/CommArtInstallerTTSEngine.zip
• Save this file to your hard drive, 'unzip' the file in a folder you selected.
• Execute the unzipped file ("CommArtInstaller.exe") by opening it. You might have to confirm that you wish to open the file. The following pop-up will appear:
  
  

  

• The next 2 steps are:
  
  

  

  
  1. Click on “Install” to install the basic CommArt software (Lingu@Tor player)
  2. Click on “Register” to install your personal licence for the LinguaCom module. You need to enter your name, e-mail address and your personal licence code in the designated fields, then press "Activate". Note: the "Master code" field will automatically be completed and should not be altered.

Step 2:

• The Lingu@com modules contain audio fragments recorded with natural voices of native speakers. But the modules have also been equiped with Text-to-Speech technology: almost natural sounding synthetic voices that can pronounce any text fragment of the module selected with the cursor.
• To use these voices, you should now install the Text-To-Speech (TTS) languages of your choice (target language: the language you want to learn; source language: your mother tongue). Please note that these language files are quite large (+- 350 Mbyte per language) and downloading them could take some minutes. Execute the following steps:

        The language files (mostly several voices per language) available are:

• You received the confirmation that each language has been successfully installed. Now you can download the module. Click on the link next to the module of your choice.

• Save this file ("XXSetup.zip" where XX stands for that specific CommArt module)  to your hard drive, 'unzip' the file in a folder you selected. 
• Execute the unzipped file ("XXSetup.exe") by opening it. Carefully follow the guidelines on your screen. 
• You can now start using your CommArt module.
