Last June, CommArt launched a cloud module Dutch for Arabic-speaking refugees. This module is geared towards level A1 of the CEFR and is offered for free to those with a refugee status. The demand has been overwhelming and emphasises the need for a more labour market-oriented follow-up module (A2 of the CEFR). Meanwhile, seven Arabic-speaking students of Hasselt University are working on this module under the supervision of Prof em W. Clijsters. If all goes well, this module will be launched in the autumn of 2017.
