New revolutionary authoring software for every learning content.

CTL-UHasselt is currently developing very user-friendly multimedia authoring software: EMCG © (Electronic Multimedia Content Generator). It offers about twenty standard exercise types and allows teachers and educational services to generate and publish web-based learning content for several teaching disciplines/applications (languages, sciences, manuals, safety instructions …). Furthermore, it enables authors to create products with a personal look and feel (personal colours, logo, home page).

EMCG © is highly suitable to introduce interactive learning, since it allows automatic correction and offers many feedback possibilities. Moreover, linking it to your own LMS (Learning Management System) makes a follow-up of the students possible.

Because of the platform’s intuitive design, electronic learning content (exercises, theory pages, dictionaries) can be created without programming or technical expertise. It is accessible online and learning content, authors and end users (students) are stored in a database.
The software supports the following actions:

  • generating and editing learning content and electronic courses (authoring platform) with WYSIWYG text and image editor
  • publishing learning content and electronic courses (online student modules)
  • managing  learning content and end users

It allows the common Windows formats (jpeg, mp3, wav …) for the multimedia elements. Furthermore, EMCG © and the learning content generated by EMCG is accessible online through most browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari …

The software supports Unicode (which means that you can use all fonts), it complies with the SCORM 1.2 standard and is compatible with most LMS, such as Smartschool, Blackboard and Moodle.

Thanks to EMCG © everyone will be able to create his own e-learning packages and enter the age of “the new method of learning”!
